The Sealions of the Neptune Islands

The beautiful sealions of Neptune Island

Sea lions are great fun, curious and very agile. It is especially important to keep an eye on your surroundings and the whole image. In this picture you see Sam Caher taking a picture of six sea lions. The three other sea lions in the foreground on the right side create depth in the picture.

It is good to watcgh behaviour, checking if all animals are looking into the seem direction, and subjects are not cut off. If possible, take your time to check this out and let the animals calm down a bit.

I used available light only.

It is good to realize, that pinnipeds are NOT pets. They are predators, and though they look incredible cute and cuddly, they can and do bite. So never touch or provoke them!
